In the heart of the Garden Route, at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains, is where you will find Houtbosh.  An enthralling tasting room showcasing their various wines and craft beer at Redberry Farm.  Come enjoy some wine, and stroll around Redberry Farm.

If you are a berry lover you will love Redberry Farm. This idyllic farmstead is a commercial strawberry grower and popular family entertainment venue that appeals to visitors of all ages.  Pick your own strawberries, explore the largest permanent hedge maze in the Southern Hemisphere.  Tea Garden, Farm Stall, Outdoor playground, pedal go-carts and pony rides to bumper boats and bubble balls on the dam.

This quaint wine estate, started in 2019. With its own ageing cellar, 7 meters underground, 20 meters long, and a 30 meter long tunnel… The grapes are grown on their own farm on the slopes of the Paardeberg Mountains between Malmesbury and Paarl.

An old orchid greenhouse, thoughtfully converted into a modern rustic venue. With less than 5 hectares under grape, we are a boutique wine farm that produces a crisp Sauvignon Blanc and a deliciously dry Chardonnay MCC.

The estate has its own cellar which is able to produce both red and white wines as well as sparkling wine made according to the traditional champagne method known locally as MCC

This family run boutique estate, with a 250 ton cellar was the first estate so far east of the Western Cape.  Situated in the mountainous area called The Crags, they broke new ground by pioneering vineyards in the Plettenberg Bay area.

Nestling between the vineyards on the outskirts of Calitzdorp, is Boplaas’ cellar tasting room, where friendly and knowledgeable staff will assist you with your tasting. We also offer a selection of local handmade produce in support of the local community.

Wine Tasting Calitzdorp Cellars

The Calitzdorp area is well-known for its fortified wines; primarily Cape Port, and is worth a stop along the world’s longest wine route. Our winemaker, Jim de Kock grew up in the Montagu region. Our first red wines were made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Shiraz, Pinotage, Tinta Barocca, Touriga Nacional, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were planted in the early nineties.

Wine Tasting at De Krans

This estate is situated along the upper reaches of the picturesque Gamka River Valley in Calitzdorp.  Dating back to the 1890’s  De Krans is widely known as one of the leading producers of port-style wines.  They were the first in South Africa to produce a Touriga Nacional as a dry red wine.  The cellar has won more than 700 medals and awards.

Wine Tasting at Du’ SwaRoo

Established in 2007, Du’SwaRoo is the smallest wine farm on the Klein Karoo wine route. Boutique farm style wines are produced in limited quantities from grapes from our own vineyards. We also offer a range of deli products under our label, including Olive Oil, Olives, Harissa, and many more.
